Membership
Membership in the Middlesex Genealogical Society is open to all those interested in family research. The Society is registered with the State of Connecticut, thereby giving members access to vital records at town and city record offices in Connecticut.
Why MGS? The advantages of membership are:
- Association with people who share your interest in family research
- Participation in five program Meetings each year at the Darien Library
- Four Newsletters e-mailed to you each year
- A membership card which gives you access to vital records at town and city record offices in Connecticut
- A free Member Page on this website to display information about your family
- Membership in the MGS Y-DNA project at Family Tree DNA, including help on understanding and choosing DNA tests
- An opportunity to participate in running a vibrant organization and help others research their family history

(For an additional $10 a year to cover our fees, the MGS quarterly Newsletters can be printed and mailed to you.)
Additional Contributions. We fund our presentations and other activities through Additional Contributions as well as dues. Please consider an Additional Contributions to help us. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so any Additional Contributions may be tax deductible and may be matched by your employer.
How to Pay. Every January we ask our members to renew their membership. Additional donations may be made at any time. Make your check out to Middlesex Genealogical Society. Bring it in to a meeting or send it in to MGS, Post Office Box 9, Darien, CT 06820.
